Movember November 1 – 30

The Keep-the-Faith-Hair Movember team was initiated by staff member Joel Darling who delivered a thought provoking message at the beginning of November in chapel. Immediately the entire community got behind what became a team of 20 staff and students. A shave-off kicked started fundraising, followed closely by a morning tea complete with moustache cupcakes, a College Casual Day, Coriander Sales, Happy Hour and other independent staff initiatives. The team clocked a total of 711.1kms by walking, running or jogging to raise awareness through movement and by November 30 many were sporting impressive moustaches.  One student was heard saying – ‘At first I didn’t like it, but then it started to grow on me’.  A ‘Mo-vellous’ total of $4,525 was raised by the Keep-The-Faith-Hair Movember team. These funds will tackle men’s health on a global scale addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.  Thank you for your donation; your contribution will make a difference.
