One of our talented Year 8 Music students, Olyvia Reimers, has recently returned from a 2 week adventure in the North Island of New Zealand. She was touring as a member of the Australian Girls Choir alongside 55 other girls from 5 capital cities around Australia who all auditioned to be a part of the New Zealand tour. They worked very hard at a 4 day workshop camp in Piha where they all met for the first time and sang their learnt songs as a combined group. From there they travelled the North Island and performed 14 times at various places including at the Tepapa Museum in Wellington and for the Australian Embassy. Highlights from the trip were visiting Hobbiton, a plane ride with her host family, meeting the girls from the other cities and the scenery throughout the country. A big congratulations to Olyvia for her dedication and achievement.
