Barossa Education Re-imagined
Students in the Middle School of Faith Lutheran College are very lucky individuals.
Not only is there an extraordinary amount of choice for students to select different topics to learn about through the Elective Program (read more below!) but the way that these students are being taught is inspiring. Using the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework as an IB Candidate School, Faith Year 7 teachers help to develop an international mindset of the students through a focus on communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement.
The location of the College is second to none. Nestled in the beautiful Barossa, our students are inspired and educated daily about the industries that surround the College and supports the region. Our Wine and Agricultural program delivers hands on wine making and animal husbandry experience, the performing arts students have access to a world class stage and theatre production house within the Barossa Arts Centre. Brand new science facilities allow for exploration, discovery and learning. Maths, design, programming, languages are just a few more of the subjects available to our students.
If you are looking for a world class education, in a location that is world renowned, book an enrolment interview and undertake a tour of the school.

International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP)
Faith Lutheran School is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme and is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. Teaching and learning in Year 7 at Faith is delivered within the framework of the IB Middle Years Program (MYP), using the content of the Australian Curriculum.
Parents who want the best possible education for their children choose the MYP because it includes:
- rigorous learning objectives
- a student-centred approach to teaching
- international perspectives
- concern for the whole child
- sustained teaching and learning in more that one language
- a focus on learning how to learn
- the development of flexible thinking that prepares students to evaluate information critically and apply knowledge in complex and unfamiliar situations.
We foster creativity, inquiry, global mindedness, innovation and a sense of service in all our Middle School students.
Faith commenced delivering the MYP as a candidate school to Year 7 students in 2020 and will build the program through the Middle School until all year levels (Year 7 to Year 9) are undertaking the IB.

We believe children are capable, competent, curious and full of potential.
Our ELC environment offers a safe place for children to build connections, discover, wonder, problem solve, imagine, be creative, share, participate and explore risk. Providing a unique canvas to foster growth, spark imagination and inspire a life-long love of learning.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasis is placed on promoting self-esteem, emotional well-being, communication, socialisation, collaboration and self-help skills.
Our ELC is acknowledged as one of the highest quality Centres in South Australia, receiving an overall NQS Rating of Exceeding National Quality standard.
We are registered as a long day care centre, open 48 weeks of the year from 8.30am – 6pm. Eligible families can access the Child Care Supplement.
We have re-imagined how transitioning into school can look for children and families in the Barossa Valley.
Pre-Foundation is a mid-year intake experience tailored to create the best possible transition to school for children who will be age 5 before the end of August.
Through extensive inquiry into current educational philosophies and best practice, including our own action research, we have worked on developing a program that places children at the fore through being holistic, responsive, playful, intentional and respectful within a flexible, inspiring, supportive and Christian environment.
We have created a new context for learning that encompasses the new experiences that starting school offers whilst remaining embedded in an authentic Early Years Curriculum Framework.
At the Faith Lutheran College Junior Campus, every student is known and valued as an important member of our community. We aim to provide an educational experience like no other; where students come first, learning goes deep and childhood is celebrated.
Progressive, sequential and inquiry based, the Curriculum at our Junior School is designed to develop confident learners who are creative problem solvers and capable decision makers.
Our caring team of dedicated educators work with each student to foster personal excellence and resilience, preparing each individual for the next step in their educational journey.
