Faith Lutheran College students shone on Monday 22nd October at the Barossa And District Rotary Club VET Student of the Year awards. The awards presentation dinner was attended by VET students from Faith Lutheran College, Nuriootpa High School, Kapunda High School, Eudunda Area School and their parents, VET Coordinators, trainers and employers.
Congratulations to Jaydon Kovarik and Henry Schutz who were joint winners of the VET Student Of the Year award.
Jaydon attended TAFESA to complete Certificate II in Aquaculture in 2017 and the Diploma of Aquaculture in 2017-2018. Jaydon has had many interesting work placements including Barramundi Farm, Humpty Doo, Institute of Marine and Antarctic Science, Tasmania, Streaky Bay Oysters and Henley Beach Marine Discovery Centre.
Henry Schutz has been a School Based Apprentice with RM and AM Schutz at Point Pass and has completed Certificate III in Agriculture at Regional Skills Training.
Haydn Amery received an Outstanding Merit award for his work as a School Based Apprentice with D and D Farm Enterprises, Freeling completing Certificate III in Agriculture at Regional Skills Training.
High Achievement certificates were awarded to Ella Kretschmer for Certificate III in Commercial Cookery at TAFESA and Lachlan Gosden for his excellent work in Certificate II in Electronics through PEER. As a College we are so proud of our young people who represented Faith so beautifully on the night. Thank you to all staff for their support and encouragement of these students on their VET pathway.
