Faith Lutheran College Alumni - Middle & Senior SchoolThe Youth Council - Inspiring & helping shape the future of the community

Last night Foundation Barossa’s Youth Council presented at our Board Meeting on their assessment and recommendations on funding for this year’s community grants.

The Ambassadors had clearly put a lot of work into diligently researching the grants and building out their cases for some of the social issues that impact the Barossa. Based on their eloquent and compelling cases we have approved funding for over $6,000 of Community Grants this year. We will share more on the successful recipients over next few weeks, but their work will assist projects such as wellbeing, homelessness, food security and all ability sports.

We would like to extend a big thankyou to this year’s Youth Council:
Zahra Devlin & Angus Pickett from Tanunda Primary School & Disability Unit
Jack Herzich, & Abbey Mattners from Nuriootpa High School
Reo Gerhardy & Jaxon Rasmus from Faith Lutheran College - Middle & Senior School
Edward Schutz & Harrison Boehm from Redeemer Lutheran School

The Board were all incredibly impressed with these Young Ambassadors, and very much appreciated the opportunity for us to see issues through the lens and experiences of these passionate young change makers. You really are an extraordinary group of young people, and we would like to thank you all for your hard work, insights and advocacy.
